1. Why Did You Write the Book?

I spend a lot of time explaining the process of purchasing a property in the Miami Market. During Covid when we were all home, I thought to put together an essay I could share with my buying clients. It has turned into a book because there was just so much to share.
 

2. How Has Your Life Experiences as a Realtor® Shaped How You Wrote This Book?

As a Realtor®, we learn on the job. So many Pro Tips scattered throughout the book are based on real situations that happened. My clients and I had to learn the hard way many of the advice given here. My desire to share it all is to make the buying process easier for the next buyer.
 

3. Who Is the Book for?

The book is for the first-time home buyer and a seasoned property purchaser who is buying in the Miami market for the first time. There are nuances that differ from county to county and state to state. So even if you have experience in buying property, as it pertains to buying in Miami, this book is a must-have.
 

4. What Is Your Favorite Chapter?

My favorite chapter is: Getting Your Offer Accepted in A Sellers’ Market because it offers sage advice on how to stand out in a multiple offer situation.
 

5. What Is Your Least Favorite Chapter?

The Title Insurance chapter because it is not sexy or fancy, it is just the facts.
 

6. What Surprised You the Most About Writing the Book?

What surprised me the most about the book is that it turned into a book! It started out as an essay, but it has grown into an actual book. Once I enlisted the help of my colleagues, they helped to add more information that I felt Buyers need to know.
 

7. What Was Your Favorite Part of Writing the Book?

I really enjoyed sharing my years of experience with an audience that is hungry to understand the nuances of buying. A home is most people’s largest purchase and biggest expense so to be able to help them understand it brings me a great sense of purpose.
 

8. What’s in Your Book That Makes Someone Better From Reading It?

Understanding what is expected of a buyer and how they can prepare themselves for success is what this book aims to do. The reader will walk away with a clear understanding of what they will encounter when purchasing a home with a will, which hopefully, brings them some peace in a chaotic process. 
 

9. What Are the Core TakeAways of the Book?

The core takeaways would be to get pre-approved if you are going to use a mortgage. Use a Realtor® that you know and trust. Make sure you have more money than just the down payment to cover the expenses of purchasing a home and moving. The reader will get a full overview of the buying process and all that goes into it.

10. What Is Unique About This Book?

I observed a need for buyers to be educated on the process of purchasing a home in Miami. My clients are hungry for information and nervous about making such a large investment when many times they do not even know where to start or who to trust. This book lay it all out, from an expert, in a clear, honest, and humorous way anyone can understand.
